Vemco Corporation was founded in 1939 by Dr. Francis E. Vaughan and Mr. Floyd Eubanks.  They started the business in a converted garage that was located in Pasadena, California and had two full time employees.  Mr. Eubanks soon departed, leaving the company in the capable hands of Dr. Vaughan.

During these early  years the volume of business was not large enough for effective competition on the basis of quantity, so Vemco made quality its primary objective.  This commitment to high quality of both products and service has made Vemco the leader in its field.  Vemco takes pride in its reputation as a manufacturer of top quality equipment and products for the world's design offices.

Vemco's first product was a "band and pulley" drafting machine.  In answer to the needs of the industry, Vemco introduced the Track drafting machine in 1968.  The robust design of this machine has remained virtually unchanged over the years.  The Track drafting machine offers unsurpassed accuracy to the user and a wealth of options that no other company or competitor can match.
